BACKGROUND

Quite a bleak picture.
Africa, South Africa, Gauteng, Soweto... a township or community with 5,500,000 inhabitants, 70% unemployment. No longer living an original African lifestyle, and only a minority integrated or educated in the sophisticated western society. They are trying to live in 2 worlds, 1st world by day and 3rd world by night.

The community is slowly forgetting it's original African traditions, culture and heritage. For so many years the people have been oppressed as a nation and a culture that their unique traditional spirit has been dampened. Together now with the rising poverty, unemployment, crime and AIDS, a generally impoverished, disempowered community is being created.
